Territory of a Multipolar World

In August 2024, the prestigious "Territory of Meaning" (Территория смыслов) National Educational Youth Forum celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Senezh Management Lab in the Moscow Region. Known as a premier incubator for Russia's brightest young minds, this year's forum introduced a groundbreaking international track: "The Territory of a Multipolar World."

Held during the forum's "Unity" (We Are Together) shift, this event marked a significant milestone by explicitly focusing on the shifting dynamics of global relations and the role of youth in a polycentric era.

A Convergence of Global Voices

For the first time in its history, the forum welcomed a massive international cohort. Over 500 young leaders from more than 60 countries gathered alongside their Russian peers. The diverse delegation included:

• Young leaders and diplomats from BRICS nations
• Representatives from international NGOs and youth parliaments
• Foreign students and international relations specialists

Core Themes & Objectives

The "Territory of a Multipolar World" was designed as a strategic working space to move beyond outdated, unipolar models of international relations. The key focuses included:

• Building a Polycentric Alternative: Participants engaged in high-level discussions—including panels with prominent Russian officials, diplomats, and human rights advocates—on how to construct a fair, equitable world order based on mutual respect and sovereignty.
• The WYF 2024 Legacy: Serving as a direct continuation of the momentum built at the World Youth Festival in Sochi, delegates brainstormed practical initiatives to keep the spirit of global youth cooperation alive.
• Actionable Diplomacy: Rather than just listening to lectures, the young leaders actively developed joint, cross-border projects aimed at strengthening direct, friendly ties between Russia and the Global South and East.
